Kermignon

Kermignon is an old cottage from the 18th century. Formerly it was a farm producing cream and cheese, which you can detect by the old breton name of “Kergolezec“ meaning place of fermenting milk.

This place, Kergolezec, lies between Morgat and the Chateau de Dinan. It is not far to the beaches of the peninsula of Crozon: Lostmarc`h, La Palue and Goulien are each about five minutes by car.

The coastal path, which goes all around the peninsula has fantastic views on the sea and cliffs, heather, stone circles, standing stones, ruins and villages. Kermignon lies hidden behind other old houses, off the road, and the garden is not fenced in. Foxes, deer and rabbits come past now and then and dogs which don`t have a problem with that, are welcome.

The house has two storeys. There is a combined kitchen with a large sitting area on the ground floor. The converted billiard table can sit up to 10 people. After dinner guests may enjoy a round of billiard with the fire place lighted in the background. On the ground floor there is also one bedroom with adjusting bath and walk-in shower.

DYou will take the stairs up to the mezzanine, a transit room with a sofa bed, a desk and the possibility to add a folding bed. Each side of the mezzanine two further bedrooms are added as well as another bath room with a tub and shower combination. All our beds have good frames and mattresses to guarantee a good nights sleep.

Sheltered from the wind by high hedges the garden table with 8 chairs is in easy reach of the kitchen right behind the house. You will also find a basic barbecue and the possibility to put up a hammock.

A washing machine and seperate drying machine are to be found in the annex, which will have to be shared with the residents of Kermignonette, who are sometimes there in the autumn. Bed clothes and towels can be provided.
